Canada’s leading geomatics entrepreneurs and start-up companies will meet in Calgary to showcase the latest in geospatial technologies

In less than one week, more than 60 of Canada’s leading entrepreneurs and start-up companies, along with three of Alberta’s post-secondary institutions, will join together at the fifth annual TECTERRA Geomatics Showcase to exhibit cutting edge and state-of-the-art geospatial technologies at the Calgary TELUS Convention Centre on June 24, 2015.

This year, the industry’s premier tradeshow is expected to be TECTERRA’s biggest Showcase to date, with more than 500 people already registered to attend.

TECTERRA, a Calgary-based not-for-profit organization is a geomatics technology innovation support centre that provides assistance for Canadian entrepreneurs and small to medium size enterprises through their suite of investment programs.

“We are very excited to host the upcoming TECTERRA Geomatics Showcase 2015,” says Dr. Mohamed Abousalem, Chief Executive Officer of TECTERRA. “The goal of our annual tradeshow is to provide a platform for business professionals and our portfolio of geomatics companies to network, build key relationships, learn about the latest breakthrough technologies in the market, and most importantly, the opportunity to create jobs for highly qualified personnel.”

Nolan Bushnell, world-renowned entrepreneur and founder of Atari Inc. and Chuck E. Cheese Pizza Time Theater will also play a major role as the keynote speaker for Showcase 2015. Bushnell will take the audience through his experience and entrepreneurial journey that has led him to his international success as one of the founding fathers of the video game industry and the founder of more than 20 companies.
