Got a great idea, paper, project or product? There’s an art to making a fast pitch, where less can be more. The “Fast Pitches” session at the annual GoGeomatics Expo provides you an opportunity see some great rapid presentations, or to hone your own pitching skills.

The GoGeomatics Expo in 2023 launched the Fast Pitch session, and this continued in 2024. Modelled after the Pitch-the-Press session of GeoWeek, presenters have 3 minutes to make your best case, followed by 2 minutes of questions from a panel and the audience. The panel of  geo-journalists and industry experts judge the best of the pitches. The top presentations get a full writeup in GoGeomatics.

The third annual GoGeomatics Expo, to be held in Calgary, October 3-5, 2025, will again feature “fast Pitches”, And if this year’s pitches will be anything like those in 2023 and 2024,  they’ll be a mix of energy, passion, innovation, mayhem and fun!

The Expo promises to be bigger and better than ever: workshops. Panels, technology exhibition, careers networking, and industry tracks. This year’s keynote speaker is GPS industry pioneer Charlie Trimble. Registration for the Expo is open.

We’re including another successful feature again this year: impromptu interviews.
