  • Collaborating with team members to integrate GIS technology into project workflows.
  • Collecting, processing, and analyzing spatial data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Creating and maintaining detailed maps, spatial databases, and geospatial datasets to support project requirements.
  • Conducting spatial analyses to identify patterns, trends, and relationships within data, providing actionable insights for project development.
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports, presentations, and visualizations to effectively communicate geospatial findings to clients and team members.
  • Supporting project teams in field data collection efforts using mobile data collection tools as necessary.
  • Staying updated with the latest GIS technologies, tools, and best practices to continually enhance the company’s GIS capabilities.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to GIS software and data.

About You
Our ideal candidate will be a graduate of a bachelor’s degree in geography, geospatial science, environmental science, urban planning, or a related field, and/or a GIS diploma or advanced GIS certificate, with 1-2 years of experience working with GIS in a professional setting.

The core skills that will help you succeed here include:

  • You are proficient in ESRI software, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and/or Portal.
  • You have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex spatial data and provide practical solutions.
  • You are a self-starter who can work independently and collaborate effectively with others.
  • You take pride in producing high-quality work and possess a strong attention to detail.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • You are strongly organized and have excellent attention to detail.
  • You are familiar with database management and basic programming or scripting skills
  • Experience with Python, Arcade, and other software programs is considered an asset.

This position will have a salary range of $68,000.00 – $73,000.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The range is negotiable based on your skillset and experience.
