Earth Science & Mining Scholarships 2021
The Young Mining Professionals Scholarship Fund has partnered with various companies to provide $120,000 in scholarships for the year 2021. All students most be enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary education institution or university in a mining-related undergraduate or graduate program for the 2021-2022 school year.
Kinross Student in Mining Scholarships CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to two remarkable students enrolled at a Canadian university in a mining-related program.
The Agnico Eagle Perseverance/Kajussissimainarniq Scholarship CAD$10,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a Nunavut Inuit student enrolled in a mining-related program at a Canadian post-secondary education institution. The winner of this scholarship will also be eligible for an interview that could lead to an internship with Agnico Eagle.
The Alamos Gold Student in Mining (Northern Ontario) Scholarship CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in a mining-related program, studying at a Northern Ontario post-secondary education institution or who resides in Northern Ontario.
The Alamos Gold Student in Mining (Financial Need) Scholarship CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a student registered in a mining-related program at a Canadian university who is able to provide a statement of financial need.
The B2Gold UBC Mining Scholarship CAD$10,000
This scholarship will be awarded to an undergraduate student at the University of British Columbia studying Geology, Geological Engineering, or an Exploration-related program.
The Barrick Gold Peter Munk Scholarship CAD$10,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a student enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary education institution who is pursuing a career in mining.
The Equinox Gold BC Mining Scholarship CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is enrolled at a post-secondary education institution in British Columbia, or who resides in British Columbia. This student must be enrolled in a mining specific program.
The Equinox Gold Northwestern Ontario Mining Scholarship CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is enrolled at Lakehead University or who resides in Kenora, Rainy River or Thunder Bay. This student must be enrolled in a mining specific program.
Joan Margaret Stewart New Canadian Scholarships CAD$2,500
This scholarship will be awarded to two international students who are in financial need and are enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary education institution in a mining-specific program.
The Northern Miner Scholarship CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to an exceptional student enrolled at a Canadian university in a mining-specific program.
The O3 Mining Scholarship CAD$15,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is currently in their second, third or fourth year at a French language post-secondary education institution in Quebec in a mining-related program.
Ore Group Indigenous Scholarships CAD$2,000
This scholarship will be awarded to five indigenous students who are registered at a Canadian post-secondary education institution.
The TD Mining Capital Markets CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a student in a mining-related program with a profound interest in capital markets, at a Canadian university. The winner of this scholarship may have the opportunity to interview for an internship with TD Securities’ Global Mining Investment Banking team.
The TD Women in Mining Scholarship CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to a female student enrolled at a Canadian university in a mining-related undergraduate program. The winner of this scholarship may have the opportunity to interview for an internship with TD Securities’ Global Mining Investment Banking team.
Yamana Gold Student in Mining Scholarships CAD$5,000
This scholarship will be awarded to two students who are enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary education institution in a mining-related program.

This scholarship will be awarded at random to ten students enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary education institution in a mining-related program.

The application deadline for all scholarships is August 31, 2021, with the exception of the Kinross Student in Mining Scholarship which has an application deadline of July 31, 2021.
