First TECTERRA GoGeomatics event in Vancouver was a hit
The first TECTERRA GoGeomatics social in Vancouver on June 6 was a hit. Vancouver is a vibrant and culturally diverse city, and the event counted a large presence of Geomatics students and professionals from Canada and abroad.
Students and recent graduates had the exciting opportunity to gain feedback from hiring managers on what the industry wants from them. Hiring managers had the chance to get to know students and recent graduates on a more personal level. We networked and gained valuable advice on how landing a job in the industry. The event was terrific and enabled us to exchange ideas and cards while enjoying great food and drinks. The location (Kingston Taphouse and Grille at 755 Richards Street) allowed us to socialize while appreciating the cosmopolitan and unique environment of the downtown area from one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
I look forward to attending the next social in Vancouver, and would like to thank GoGeomatics Canada and TECTERRA for gathering so many talented and creative people in an amazing place and allowing them to interact and have fun. If you are a Geomatics student or professional, and have not yet attended one of our events, I highly recommend that you do it!
