gLoc8 CEO Set to Speak at Toronto’s GoGeomatics Social

GoGeomatics and the York University Geomatics Club have come together to present November’s GoGeomatics Toronto Social. Make some friends and network with our ever-growing Toronto geomatics community. Socials are always fun and always free.

This month’s event is happening Friday, November 29th at 7:00pm at the Fox and Fiddle (280 Bloor Street West).

 

David Gachuche, CEO of gLoc8, will be at our event this month to speak about his journey from student to employee to successful entrepreneur. If you are interested in starting your own business in geomatics or a young professional trying to figure out your next steps, this is the event for you.

Jon Murphy, CEO of GoGeomatics, will also be traveling to Toronto to attend. So come out and say hello!

Aboutgloc8_FINAL LOGO David Gachuche: David is a Geomatics Engineer (University of Calgary) and technology entrepreneur specializing in location based solutions such as spatial tracking and interactive realtime mapping. He is the founder and CEO of Gloc8 Technologies a group of companies with operations in Canada and Africa. Gloc8 develops location based technology solutions with a focus on monitoring of movable assets, specializing in solutions that integrate GPS data with GIS mapping making data available over web and mobile platforms. Gloc8 has built a platform that is used for GPS Tracking applications and is used to monitor thousands of mobile assets in over 10 countries.

geocpurpAbout York University’s Geomatics Club: The Geomatics Club is a study and networking group for geomatics students at York University, Toronto, Canada. The club aims to organize regular geomatics events and posts geomatics jobs for geomatics engineering, environment science, geography and urban planning students. Join their group on Facebook here.
