Kitchener Waterloo GoGeomatics Group Startup in April

Kitchener Waterloo is Canada’s fastest growing market for tech-talent, according to Techvibes, the CBC and more.

Within this tech-triangle, there is a LOT of GIS activity and so it is time to start an initiative to bring together an active community of GIS users!

We are putting out the call to bring together the geomatics community – including the many businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals students, recruiters and venture capitalists to share their stories, insight, successes and opportunities in this region’s first GoGeomatics Meetup.

There are so many Geomatics professionals in the local community that it makes sense to build upon our numbers to get some great local initiatives going – let’s build a community of local Geomatics enthusiasts so that we don’t have to drive to London or Toronto.

This fun free networking event will be an opportunity for people in the community to develop new relationships, learn more about current activities, technologies and success stories, and gain insight into the many advanced applications in Canada’s most advanced hi-tech community.

With the support of CommuniTech, we can also use this as an opportunity to advance the perspective and positioning of the local GIS community as a significant force in the overall KW tech economy.

Come join us for our initial Social:
Date: April 11, 2018
Time: 6:30pm – 8:30pm – Light refreshments will be served
Location: CommuniTech, EBC room
151 Charles Street West, Suite 100
Kitchener, Ontario, Canada N2G 1H6

Keep a watch online for a Kitchener GoGeomatics meetup.com event to register.

GoGeomatics thanks our two new group leaders for putting this event together.

Principal, Geomatics Analyst at Location Intelligence & Design
