Vancouver-based cognitive AI company Minerva Intelligence is working on the first major update to the Canadian National Hydro Network (NHN) since 2004. AI is not typically a tool for this field, but as Jake McGregor, the COO of Minerva, explains in this talk from GeoIgnite 2021, Minerva uniquely qualified to design complex geospatial schemas for NRCan. Jake McGregor is the Chief Operating Officer of Minerva Intelligence, a Vancouver-based software company developing cognitive AI solutions. Jake is a member of the Standards Council of Canada, is actively involved in work with ISO TC211 and is Minerva’s representative to the OGC. In the past year he has led the schema development for the National Flood Hazard Data Layer and is currently designing a new data model for Canada’s National Hydrographic Network.
