McElhanney Adds to Existing Bridge Expertise With Acquisition of Infinity Engineering
McElhanney Consulting Services Ltd. of Vancouver has acquired North Vancouver-based Infinity Engineering Group Ltd., specializing in bridge design and erection engineering. Infinity has played key roles in an impressive portfolio of long-span and complex bridges in Canada, USA and India.
The merger adds to McElhanney’s existing bridge expertise and complements its road and highway engineering capabilities. “It’s a fit that makes sense. Integrating our services enables us to provide more comprehensive services to existing and new clients and strengthens our working relationship with industry partners,” said McElhanney’s President and CEO Allan Russell.
Infinity will now operate under the McElhanney name from the company’s corporate head office in Vancouver and a branch office in Tampa, Florida, which is responsible for US projects. McElhanney and Infinity have a successful history of working together, including recent projects such as the Port Mann/Highway 1 Improvement Project in the Vancouver area and the Deh Cho Bridge in the Northwest Territories. Currently, Infinity is the lead engineering firm for the complex challenge of deconstructing the old Port Mann Bridge.

David Jeakle will be Bridge Practice Lead and Ken Rebel will continue to be Bridge Engineering Division Manager.
