TopoDOT Presents Leveraging Point Cloud Project Data for Effective Support of 3D Design/Construction Processes at Lidar CANEX 2023

Jennifer Triana, TopoDOT’s Director of Business Development, presented a livestream talk on Leveraging Point Cloud Project Data for Effective Support of 3D Design/Construction Processes at Lidar CANEX 2023, on Tuesday, April 23, 2023.

Triana began the presentation by introducing participants to TopoDOT. This company has been in the Lidar industry for 30 years and has offices in Europe, China, Australia and the United States. It has over 6000 users and over 630 customers worldwide, most in transportation and government.

TopoDOT is an application that brings in point cloud information and calibrated images associated with point cloud, into the CAD environment where data can be extracted to create topographic worlds. TopoDOT takes complex topographies and meets CAD standards with automated tools.

TopoDOT manages, assesses, extracts, models and manages the data in the MAX process. TopoDOT never has to clean up the data as it can work around the data noise. Key data and necessary information is what is focused on. TopoDOT is able to provide quality performance on noisy data and data gaps.

Triana went through a RTC 360 TLS Point Cloud Extraction example, showing the quality of the TopoDOT application. She also discussed the TopoShare Enterprise web portal.

A gracious thank you to TopoDOT for being a Gold Sponsor for Lidar CANEX 2023.
