Nova Scotia: 3D Data Mapping Workshop & COGS Industry Expo 2018

Thanks to the success of last year’s CIG /GANS joint Coastal Mapping Workshop at COGS, we have been asked to host another workshop at COGS

After this event COGS will hold COGS Industry Expo 2018

Date & time: Thursday February 1, 2018 from 10:00 am-3:30 pm

Location: NSCC – Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS)

50 Elliott Road, (Highway 101: Exit 19), approximately one hour and 45 minutes from the Halifax Airport RR#1 Lawrencetown, NS B0S 1M0

encourage the geospatial community to please contact us about presenting, exhibiting & attending.

The Geomatics Association of Nova Scotia (GANS) and the Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG) Nova Scotia Chapter would like to invite you to a workshop on 3D Data mapping that will be of interest to industry, non-profit groups, associations, academia and all levels of government.

This two day workshop is intended to present the latest information on the technologies and their applications in 3D Mapping and will include presentations, discussions, and poster displays promoting technologies, with several opportunities for networking. It will also help engage the geospatial community in Atlantic Canada, increasing awareness of the benefits of using geospatial data and tools for effective decision making.

It will take place at Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS) in Lawrencetown. COGS is Canada’s largest geomatics-focused learning environment offering high-quality geographic information programs in the fields of GIS, surveying, remote sensing, mapping and land-use planning. All all refreshment breaks, lunches and dinner included with registration and open to all, including GANS members, CIG members and anyone else interested in technologies suitable for mapping in the coastal zone.
